Official Cornhole Rules

BADGETT SPORTS COMPLEX IS A PRIVATE VENUE WITH AN ON SITE BAR & GRILL.

NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL OR COOLERS ARE ALLOWED IN THE FACILITY, HOWEVER THEY DO SELL BEER THAT YOU CAN ENJOY DURING GAME PLAY!

Team

  1. Team rosters shall include a minimum of 4 players, 2 of each gender.
  2. Each round shall be played by only 2 players.  Each round players can alternate between players. There is no gender requirement, but every player present must play in at least one round per game.
  3. Players may not substitute for each other during a round. Only after a round is complete may players trade out.
  4. All players must be registered with the League to play with the team. Unregistered substitutes are not permitted. Any team found to be playing with an unregistered player will forfeit the game.
  5. Late Registration: a team may add players to the roster through the 2nd scheduled match provided the team captain approves with the league fee pro-rated for the remainder of the season. All players must be formally registered with the League and paid in full prior to playing.

Time

  1. Each game will be 50 minutes in length. Teams will complete as many rounds as possible in that allotted time period. The team with the most rounds won in the time period will be declared the winner.
  2. If a round is in progress at the conclusion of the 50 minute time limit, that round shall be called and the win shall be awarded to the team with the highest score.
  3. Game scoring is kept up by team captains.  League Officials will handle any score discrepancies and/or will address teams that are stalling or slow playing.

Rules of Play

  1. Cornhole rules not mentioned here will refer to rules used by the American Cornhole Organization. Those rules can be found here: http://www.americancornhole.com/aco-official-cornhole-rules
  2. Each game ending score will be recorded by a League Officials.

Officiating

  1. All questions of rule play will be directed to the League official.
  2. Unsportsmanlike conduct, including but not limited to, throwing sandbags out of play, conducting yourself in an inappropriate manor, or excessive taunting shall be grounds for ejection. The League official has ultimate say.

Equipment

  1. All equipment, including boards and sandbags shall be provided by the League.

Playoffs

    2.   Playoff Games will be Single Elimination, Best of 5 format and will be for qualifying teams over 1 night.

Forfeits

  1. Teams must be ready to play and meet game start requirements at the posted game time. Any team not ready to play at this time shall forfeit, and the opposing team shall take a default win.
  2. If neither team is ready to play, both teams shall forfeit.
  3. Any team found to be playing with a player not registered with the League or team shall forfeit the game.
